The human mind is a truly wonderful thing, but at the same time it is a dark and dangerous place. The human mind can perceive happiness and joy, it can create wonderful things, can put faith in the impossible and hope in the improbable. The darkness of the human mind is also to be admired, it can refuse to understand the evil the world presents, it can change the natural thinking process in order for the human to sleep without guilt. The sickest part of the human mind is its ability to create a path around the problems it faces and ignore the bad and evil around, it can allow a child to die without the love of its mother, it can allow a holocaust without a second thought and it can allow the mass murder of innocents without a second glance at the mass graves. A truley complex thing is the human mind.

To understand the complexity of the human mind is to understand the protests that now surround us. To understand that some people will refuse to create paths around problems, but rather choose to create their paths by plowing through the problems they face, to obliterate them with no second thought. And still others will choose to build a path around and will never see the true meaning of progress.
